  • Have you looked into urban gardens?   6 days 9 hours ago

Gardening sounds very interesting. Unemployed people must get involve into this kind of activity. Somehow, little knowledge about gardening can be a source little extra cash. Anyway, talking about unemployment, Senator Jim Bunning opposed it on grounds that the unemployment bill, or the extension of unemployment benefits not be passed on the grounds that we can't afford it. (Kind of does make sense.) Senator Bunning is becoming known for…erratic behavior, to say the least – and some are willing to put more than payday loans into the campaign funds of his opponents. Even fellow Republicans acknowledge that he at times seems completely unhinged.

In answer to your questions, the format is good, and the job responsibilities. Being only two years out of college, your clubs are still relevant. Later on, other things may take their place.
    Nice resume.

This is a good resume overall.
I would avoid superlatives like "that is unmatched". How can you know it's unmatched?
I was a little bothered to see that you list your MS, only to read further that it doesn't start for 6 months. Put your batchelors first, and then make it clear that you are planning to continue your education.
    Good Luck!

  • Job relocation ... to your living room   1 week 6 days ago

If corporate downsizing and massive industrial layoffs have you worried about your future, a home based business or home based job opportunity may be the answer to your personal and financial freedom. Many home based opportunities are out there, but there are just as many unreliable opportunities. Of course, preparation may need some extra cash, preferably get payday loans for this.

I'm not in your field, but I was stunned by the great number of very short employments. Is there an explanation for this that you can insert in the resume?

Perhaps you shouldn't tout "advocacy of patients rights" to a prospective employer?

Since you just started your Bachelor program, don't make it sound as if you already have the degree. Will you be able to relocate?

    Your resume needs some work.

  • Job Hunters, Beware   4 weeks 10 hours ago

Great post. Pass this advice to those job seekers who don't want to get scammed for online job hunting. The unemployment rate is at a record high point, but what's even higher is the rate of underemployment. More people are working in jobs that are below their previous salary level or qualification, and willing to accept lower salaries just to keep money coming in and not running for payday loans. The lower salaries have a lot to do with why people aren't spending as freely as they had previously. The numbers of unemployed aren't growing at as fast a rate as they had, which leads many to believe that the recession is ending.

  • Overcoming the résumé gap   4 weeks 5 days ago

For most of 2009 and the beginning of 2010, the unemployment rate in the United States is just over 10 percent. Granted, the unemployment rate, or jobless rate, is difficult to accurately calculate, since there are also people that are underemployed, or work part time to keep a little cash now coming in. Benefits for people needing unemployment assistance have been extended, but it certainly can't last forever. Experts are predicting that the rate will drop almost one percent in 2010, but whether or not it will happen is something else.

I'm not in your field, but I haven't heard of "mechatronics". Does it need some explanation in your resume?

Your objective may be too much about you, not enough about what you can do for the employer. His interest is not so much in furthering your career as in filling a need in his company.

Good Luck. You certainly have some good experience.

This is an excellent resume, and I have little to add to it.
Regarding your present experience, you could use the present tense, "providing" instead of "provided". It shows that you are a going concern.
I like your method of clearly stating your results right after the job description.
    Best of luck to you.

  • Landing a Job of the Future Takes a Two-Track Mind   8 weeks 1 day ago

That’s a good start, planning ahead offers many future opportunities. Unemployment increases in recessions – that's always a given – but in most recessions the rate of unemployment rises only temporarily. One of the metrics for finding out if unemployment is reducing is the number of people filing for unemployment benefits. So, if you don’t want to get caught and unemployed, better make and prepare two tracks in mind.

  • Gyms Offering Membership Deals To Unemployed   8 weeks 2 days ago

This is excellent! I encourage anyone who has been laid off to try to do what they can to maintain their general and overall health. They will undoubtedly have a better frame of mind, and if an interview comes up, it will definitely help with that.At the same time, just being unemployed or underemployed can lead to stress, and the best way to reduce that stress is to exercise.

Finally, look at being at the gym or on the golf course (or whatever) as a way to network. Who knows if it will lead to a job that you might not have gotten without going? Best of luck!

  • Look who's hiring now   8 weeks 5 days ago

The job market has been bleak for some time. More people are looking for jobs now than jobs seem to exist – and the jobless and unemployment rate are the worst in almost 30 years. Fewer people can qualify these days for a payday loan, never mind get the kind of job that will live up to their former salaries. The unemployment rate doesn't include the underemployed, or those that are working, but are only part time or temps - but rest assured, most of the experts have signed off that the unemployment rate will reduce by the end of 2010.

  • Competitive Outgoing Outside Sales Representative   9 weeks 2 days ago

I think working in sports is a good transition to working in health. They are associated in everyone's mind.
Health and fitness sales might be a good area.
Your resume is well written and well organized, and easy to read.
In the first paragraph I was a little put off by all the superlatives - maybe you could tone it down a little bit.

  • Pre-MBA Accountant   13 weeks 1 day ago

    This is a great resume!
Can you clarify, are you still at Meridian?
It might be good to give month and year because it leads to questions such as how can you work 15 months between 2008 and 2009?
Because all your work has been in the public sector, it would be good to state if you are looking in the private world as well.
It might be good to open with some statement of what you are looking for now, what your goals are, and what positions you think you might be suitable for.
Finally, a chuckle: Did you really recruit for George Washington?
    Good Luck

  • Look Who's Hiring Now: Inquire Within   13 weeks 5 days ago

When I saw 9.8% unemployment in the article, I thought - wait- it's 10.2% isn't it? Then I realized the article is from Nov. 1, back in the good old days when it was 9.8%.
