Evening Activity: Stay in with Friends

One of the easiest ways to spend money quickly is to go out on the town with friends. A drink or two will add up quickly not to mention food and any transportation costs. One of the best ways I have found to save is to plan a stay-in night with friends. Take out an old board game, buy a bottle of wine for less than $10 (or make your friends bring it over) and you've got a mini party at a fraction of the cost.

Bravo to the above. When we were younger and dating, we almost never went to bars - it was always a party at someone's place, and BYOB. The host provided the music and some chips.
